I have goals.
As a senior UX architect and Product Designer specializing in the WordPress ecosystem, I’ve had the pleasure to work with teams and clients at all scales and specialities from small teams to enterprise scale projects. I love creating beautiful, user-centric, performant, accessible, and secure sites that are also useful and solve both business and human problems. At heart, I am a teacher so presenting a facilitating important conversations and collaboration is my pleasure.
Our teams are all about empowering people to be able to amazing things on their own. We empower your teams to make your software easy for people to use to accomplish their tasks though heuristic evaluations and usability testing. We also specialize in value proposition definitions and communication. We love this stuff – content hierarchy and content strategy are critical!

Most recently, at UXATT where our team has co-founded a dynamic design collective. Through project work with mid to large scale technology companies, digital product owners or plugin companies and e-commerce website owners we provide design project service engagements like:

We also individually speak publicly and advocate for the open web, usability, inclusion, and accessibility standards. We are accepting speaking engagement opportunities on a variety of topics including journey mapping, usability testing, incorporating a usability model and inclusive design principles in our work. We pull back the curtains and share our discussions publicly through our podcast Rethink.fm We are talking about the positive impact we can make together through usability research and design strategy and tactical work together.
In my current role at XWP I provide project work in the areas of UX Design & Research, Product Design and Consultation. We provide project work at enterprise scale for Publishers, Technology Companies and E-commerce sites.I also provide industry thought leadership through The Loop.
Over the past 20+ years I also owned & operated a studio turned agency called C&D Studios and co-founded our mobile apps and website company for doctors called Docs With Apps.
Beyond this work I also love:

I’m experienced.
I’m an artist and a designer and I’ve been creating interactive experiences for over 30 years. My original work is in the area of Time Arts, I studied at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I graduated as a Merit Scholar with a BFA degree.

Currently I am beginning to contribute to the Open UI Community Group at w3.org. Recently I’ve been contributing to the WordPress Governance Project and the WordPress design team as a core contributor, too. I care about the Open Web and maintaining that for future generations. and I care about all people having access to quality, reliable, enriching, information. I have earned a lot of luck throughout my career and had opportunities to work some amazing professionals some of whom are real innovators.
